Sean’s Story

“Playing at the middle school level helped me develop my skills and build confidence, setting the stage for a successful high school career.”

Sean his Senior season at John Marshall.

“My passion for lacrosse began in the 5th grade, when I first picked up the stick. This early exposure proved invaluable, giving me a significant advantage over many of my peers. Playing at the middle school level helped me develop my skills and build confidence, setting the stage for a successful high school career.

Thanks to my lacrosse accomplishments, I was fortunate enough to get recruited by Westminster College. This opportunity not only furthered my athletic development but also opened doors to academic pursuits. Today, I’m pursuing a Master’s degree while coaching the men’s lacrosse team at Hiram College. This job makes my Master’s degree free, which I can contribute the decision of picking up a stick in 5th grade for.

I’m grateful for the impact lacrosse has had on my life. It’s more than just a sport; it’s a passion that has provided me with countless opportunities for growth and fulfillment. As I’m excited to continue coaching and contributing as I look to find a coaching job after the completion of my Masters.”

Sean played 3 years for the Wheeling Phantom’s and one season for the Marshall County Spiders. Thanks to his dedication and love of the sport from an early age, Sean was a 4 year starter at John Marshall and was a crucial team player for when the program reached their first state championship appearance in 2018, ultimately falling to Fairmont that season. He is still heavily involved with the sport taking on a different role than he is used to, from player to Graduate Assistant Coach at Hiram College for the men’s lacrosse team. The Yellow Jacket program wishes Sean luck in his lacrosse and coaching endeavors.
